ROCHESTER, NY – RIT freshman Adam Marsh was named Liberty League Baseball Co-Rookie of the Week and freshman Ben Sheehan was named the Liberty League Men’s Track & Field Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. On the Women’s side, first-year Emily DiMarco was named Liberty League Women’s Track & Field Rookie of the Week, announced Monday.
Marsh was part of RIT’s historic 28-7 win over St. Lawrence where the team set three program game records and tied another. Marsh had six hits, scored six runs and drove in three runs in the Tigers three-game series against St. Lawrence.
Sheehan won the long jump at the UofR Spring Classic, Friday, with a leap of 41.67m / 136 ‘8 “. Setting a PR by nearly seven inches, he currently ranks 12th nationally and first in both the Atlantic Region and Liberty League in the Sheehan also anchored the Tigers’ runner-up 4×100 relay (43.19) which posted the conference’s second fastest time this spring.
DiMarco won the Discus at the UofR Spring Classic, Friday, with a record-breaking 41.67m / 136 ‘8 “toss. Her mark currently ranks 18th in Division III and first in both the Atlantic Region and the Liberty League.
