Joel Embiid will reportedly get an MRI on his right thumb when the team returns to Philadelphia.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has a right thumb sprain but is listed as available for Saturday’s Game 4 against the Toronto Raptors (2 ET, TNT).
The NBA’s leading scorer played through a sore right thumb during Game 3, and multiple reports say the source of that pain was suspected to be a torn ligament.
He is expected to get an MRI when the team returns to Philadelphia, according to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.
Embiid, who is averaging 27.7 points and 13 rebounds in the series, wore a brace on his right hand and thumb during Friday’s practice. He told Reporters the pain would not keep him out of Game 4.
“Well,” they said. “No chance.”
Philadelphia leads the Raptors 3-0 in the best-of-seven series.
