Goa’s para-TT team provided with wheelchairs ahead of National c’ship

PANJIM: The Goan team’s preparations for the Para-National TT Championship tournament which will be held in Indore was given a boost after the President of the South Goa Table Tennis Council Vikram Verlekar donated NeoFly wheelchairs.

Verlekar, who has been instrumental in bringing Pinnacle Table Tennis Academy – one of the most prominent TT training centers in India – to Goa, handed over the sophisticated wheelchairs worth Rs 96,000 to the Goa Para-Table Tennis Committee at the premises of Pinnacle Academy- Fatorda recently.

Moreover, at the request of the Goa Para-Table Tennis Committee, the Pinnacle Academy and its coaches agreed to help the state Para TT Team -which comprises a record number of 8 players including a woman athlete – to prepare for the Nationals, stated a press release. The tournament is from April 27 to 30.
