THE ICE RINK – Everyone has heard the phrase: Don’t quit your day job.
Well, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, an explosive and dynamic player in the NFL, found out that they should stick to the game of football and not that of hockey.
Asked to deliver the ceremonial Puck drop for a Hersey Bears hockey game, Parsons took the job a bit too literal.
The Cowboys defensive star made his way to the center of the ice rink and chucked the puck to the ground – he certainly dropped it – and stood there looking for affirmation that he did it right. Nobody must have told him that the two Captains of the respective teams needed to be there first.
This would be like walking out on a basketball court to do the jump ball and just getting out to the center court and throwing up the ball without the players competing for possession.
Either way, it’s made for a good chuckle.
