Spring-Ford’s Moore, Suresh win PAC boys tennis doubles title – PA Prep Live

He had a new partner, but the result was the same.

Spring-Ford senior Cameron Moore teamed up with Classmate Navein Suresh to win the Pioneer Athletic Conference Boys Tennis Doubles Championship on Monday at Perkiomen Valley High School.

After the Rams’ team title and Moore’s individual Championship earlier this spring, the pair’s Victory claimed the Trifecta for the Rams. It also completed an undefeated PAC career for Moore, who won the PAC singles title and the PAC doubles title (with Josh Pergine) as a junior last season before repeating as Champion in both this spring.

Moore and Suresh took down Perkiomen Valley’s Henry Ye and Evan Bolton 6-2, 6-1 in the Championship match.

While the Spring-Ford duo rolled into Monday’s Championship, the semifinal round was a different story. Moore and Suresh dropped the first set to Methacton’s Dylan Wen (PAC individual runner-up) and Akash Suresh before earning a 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-3 Victory.

Ye and Bolton also had a challenging semifinal. The PV duo took down the reigning PAC doubles runner-up pairing of Troy Watts and Wyatt Lear in the semifinals, winning 7-6 (4), 6-3.

The Pottsgrove duo earned third place with a 6-0, 3-6, 7-6 (5) Victory over Methacton’s Wen and Suresh. In the fifth place match, Owen J. Roberts ’Talon Nguyen and Jason Sawicki took down Nick Gehringer and Jacob Boughter 6-1, 6-1.

Pope John Paul II’s Aiden McCarel and Owen Love earned a spot in the Class 2A district doubles tournament with a 6-3, 7-6 (2) Victory over Pottstown’s James Ryder and Fredy Rodriguez.
