Just three days after losing a four-star linebacker in its 2023 recruiting class, Michigan added one on Friday.

Philadelphia Imhotep Institutes Semaj Bridgeman announced his commitment to the Wolverines in a social media post, thanking family, friends and coaches. The No. 301 overall prospect nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, becomes the second 2023 Recruit to verbally pledge to Jim Harbaugh’s program on Friday.

Michigan also landed a commitment from St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter Prep three-star receiver Fredrick Moore.

Bridgeman, one of dozens of prospects to take an official visit to Ann Arbor last month, will be a welcomed addition for the Wolverines, especially after Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln four-star linebacker Raylen Wilson decommitted from Michigan on Wednesday. Wilson was the teams only top-100 prospect this cycle.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Bridgeman stars on both sides of the ball at Imhotep Institute, also playing tight end on offense. He chose Michigan over 31 other reported offers, including other Finalists Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, Rutgers and South Carolina. He becomes the second four-star commit in the Wolverines 2023 class and the eighth overall.

With Fridays two commitments, Michigans class Ranks No. 49 nationally. It has a chance to add a third Friday night as Minneapolis Robbinsdale Cooper four-star edge defender Jaxon Howard is slated to choose between Michigan, LSU, Minnesota and Miami at 7 pm
