Commissioner Kevin Warren, football coaches acknowledge USC, UCLA additions

While Big Ten Football Media Days typically serve as the kickoff for the upcoming season, the addition of USC and UCLA from the Pac-12 created an extra storyline this year. And while those schools will not join the conference until 2024, that did not stop reporters from asking plenty of questions about the news that both teams are headed to the Big Ten.

Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren was the first to hit the dais Tuesday and take questions on the new schools, but he certainly wasn’t the last, as Big Ten coaches also found themselves in the firing line about their future opponents. And those questions ranged from asking what challenges each school faces, whether in terms of travel or otherwise, to whether USC and UCLA will enter the league as full members with full shares of the media rights contract.
