Three Canadians advance to final round of Granby tennis Qualifying

Kayla Cross, Cadence Brace and Marina Stakusic all reached the final round, while Bianca Fernandez was defeated.

Three Canadians have advanced to Sundays final round of Qualifying the main draw of the WTA 250 National Bank Championships in Granby.

Kayla Cross of London defeated Tereza Mihailkova of Slovakia 6-4, 6-2; Cadence Brace of Oakville defeated Karam Thandi of India 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 and Marina Stakusic of Mississauga beat Ulrikke Eikeri of Norway 6-3, 6-2.

The only Canadian who failed to move ahead was Bianca Fernandez, the younger sister of top-20 player Leylah Fernandez. She lost to Erin Routliffe, a New Zealand native who once represented Canada, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
