Girls Tennis: O’Hara’s Zahran, Graney, Bora help Sweep away St. Hubert

Sammie Zahran, Jordan Graney and Sophia Bora swept the singles matches without losing a game as Cardinal OHara opened its Catholic League girls tennis season with a 5-0 Victory over St. Hubert.

Allison Kirby and Martha Coffey won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles for the Lions.

In the Central League:

Radnor 7, Penncrest 0 >> Paige Yurchak and Isabel Liu, Mia Simpson and Rebecca Goldberg and Chloe Simonian and Perri Simonian took second, third and fourth doubles, respectively, without losing a game to lead the Raptors to their second sweep in as many days. Radnor downed Springfield on Wednesday, 7-0. Mia Xie won 6-0, 6-0, at second singles for the second day in a row.

In the Del Val League:

4 Academy Park, Chichester 1 >> Faith Larkin, Isi Osagie and Sanaa Rogers took the singles in straight sets to pace the Knights to their 63rd straight league win. It also won No. 695 for head coach Reggie Day.

Mariama Kiaddi and Aicha Kromah pulled out a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 win at first doubles for Penn Wood.

Episcopal Academy 7, Henderson 0 >> Kamora Helton, Avery Morris and Carter Yearly captured the singles competition in straight sets to lead Episcopal Academy to a 7-0 Victory over Henderson.

Helton won 6-4, 6-0 at first singles. Morris recorded a 6-1, 6-3 Victory at second singles and Yearly turned in a 6-2, 6-2 triumph at third singles. The Churchwomen also swept the doubles in straight sets.

Conestoga 7, Garnet Valley 0 >> Isabelle Emmanuel set the tone for the Pioneers with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at first singles.
