Pakistan’s first-class cricketer Shahzad Azam Rana passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at the age of 36. He played 95 first-class, 58 List A and 29 T20 matches.
Shahzad took 388 wickets in first-class cricket, 81 in List A and 27 in T20.
Despite his exceptional track record in domestic cricket, he was never called up to play for Pakistan. Rana represented Islamabad in the Pakistan Super League.
However, they didn’t play a first-class and List A match after 2018.
Shahzad was last seen playing a match with the Marylebone Cricket Club that toured Pakistan in 2020. Playing for Northern Pakistan, he conceded 30 runs and took 1 wicket from his quota of 4 overs.
