Women’s Tennis to Host Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational this Weekend

CONWAY, SC The Coastal Carolina Women’s tennis team will host the Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational this weekend, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, at the Stevens Tennis Complex in Conway, SC

The two-day fall event will feature the Chanticleers, Appalachian State, Charleston Southern, and Queens University of Charlotte.

Coastal opened the fall season three weeks ago at the CSU Invitational, where the Chanticleers played Wofford, Charleston Southern, and the College of Charleston.

Newcomer Lilie Steryous highlighted the opening weekend of play by going a combined 5-1 over the two days of play, including posting a perfect 3-0 start in singles action. Junior Jesse Hollins posted two singles victories over the two-day event, while every other Chant tallied one win each in singles action for the first weekend of play.

In doubles play, three teams in Steryous and Kata Foldeak, Tatum Burger and Anna Babayan, and Megan Hopton and Isabella Weatherford all went 2-1 overall.

Play will begin each day at 10 am ET.
