Vanderbilt Women’s Tennis | Dores Dominant at June Stewart Invitational

NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Vanderbilt Womens tennis team won all three doubles matches and five of its singles matches on day 1 of the June Stewart Invitational.

Celia-Belle Mohr paired with Anessa Lee for a 6-4 win over the duo of Josie Frazier and Megan Heuser of Illinois in doubles. The Bridget Stammel/Dasha Kourkina pairing also earned a Victory in doubles, as did Marcella Cruz and Sonya Macavei.

The Commodores were also dominant in singles with five straight-set wins. Mohr, Stammel, Macavei, Cruz and Lee all found their way into the win column in their matches versus Purdue opponents.

Day 2 of the June Stewart Invitational is set for Saturday.
