Nilsson Posts Shutout, Mens Soccer Plays to 0-0 Draw at Brown

PROVIDENCE, RI Senior goalkeeper Oskar Nilsson posted his second shutout of the season as Harvard University men’s soccer played to a 0-0 draw at Brown University on Saturday night at Stevenson-Pincince Field.

The Crimson (5-4-3, 0-1-2 Ivy) held advantages in shots (7-6), shots on goal (4-2), and corner kicks (13-7) over the Bears (6-3 -2, 0-1-2 Ivy) as the visitors registered their fourth clean sheet as a team this season.

Harvard Highlights

• Senior goalkeeper Oskar Nilsson made two saves in his second shutout of the season. Nilsson has recorded four clean sheets in his collegiate career.
• Among the Crimson’s field players, sophomores Jan Riecke and Ludovico Rollo both played the full 90 minutes. Riecke has played all 1,080 minutes on the season.
• Sophomore Alessandro Arlotti tallied a team-high two shots and game-high two shots on goal. Junior Willem Ebbinge added two shots and one shot on goal.
• With 13 corner kicks, Harvard totaled double-figure corners for the third time this season.
• Harvard moved to 49-31-16 in the all-time series with Brown.

• In the first half, Harvard held a 6-5 lead in corner kicks while Brown maintained slight edges in shots (4-3) and shots on goal (2-1).
• Senior goalkeeper Oskar Nilsson posted his two saves in a four-minute span in the first half, making stops at the 27:55 and 31:30 marks.
• In the 16^th minute, sophomore Alessandro Arlotti sent a shot on target that required the Brown defense to clear the attempt off the line.
• In the second half, Harvard led in shots (4-2), shots on goal (3-0), and corner kicks (7-2) as the Crimson did not allow a shot on goal after the 32^n.d minute.
