Massachusetts Tennis Completes Competition At ITA Super Regionals, Brown Classic

NEW HAVEN, Conn. and PROVIDENCE, RI University of Massachusetts tennis concluded its stays at the ITA Super Regionals, Hosted by Yale, in New Haven, Connecticut, and the Brown Classic in Providence, Rhode Island, with five Minutewomen in action across the two events on Sunday.

Renata Farima ended her singles run at the ITA Super Regionals with a main draw Round of 32 loss to Boston College’s Marice Aguiar, 6-4, 6-4. Danielle Hack and Thamonpan Jugglertrakul dropped a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 doubles match to Chelsea Kung and Vivian Cheng of Yale.

At the Brown Classic, Mariya Krasakova defeated Yale’s Jamie Kim, 6-0, 6-0, in singles play, before Downing Lindsey Hofflander of Brown, 7-5, 6-3. Melisa Senli won 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 over Rebecca Lynn of Yale to move on to the draw. Senli fell to Brown’s Vivian Miller 6-2, 6-3.

Krasakova and Senli teamed up for doubles competition, falling to duo Miller and Nora Lee of Brown, 6-2, 6-2.

Massachusetts heads to Hanover, New Hampshire, on Friday, November 4, through Sunday, November 6, to compete in the final tournament of the fall season at the Big Green Invite.
