the Home of Cricket will play host to four unmissable Internationals in 2023, including fixtures in both the men’s and women’s Ashes series.
The international season starts at Lord’s on Thursday 1 June when England’s men play Ireland in a LV= Insurance Test match, 4 years after they first played in this format at Lord’s.
Ben Stokes and Heather Knight’s teams will then do battle against familiar foes Australia in two highly anticipated Ashes fixtures.
The second Test match in the 2023 men’s LV= Insurance Ashes will start at Lord’s on Wednesday 28 June.
England’s women will then take center stage on Saturday 8 July in a Floodlight T20I against Australia’s women.
Finally, in a repeat of the unforgettable men’s ICC World Cup Final of 2019, we round off the international season with a One Day International between England and New Zealand on Friday 15 September.
Ballots
Lord’s Public Ticket Ballot for international fixtures in 2023 is now OPEN.
You will need a Lord’s account to enter, if you do not have an account, please sign up here.
BALLOT FAQS
The ballot is open from 10:00 on 24 October and will close at 12:00 (midday) on 7 November. You can apply at any time during this period and there is no advantage to applying early.
Please only apply for tickets that you are fully committed to purchasing, as all payments will be taken upon allocation of tickets should you be successful in the ballot. For example, if you submit an application for tickets for four international match days and you are successful in all four ballots, you shall be committed to Purchasing all tickets and payment will be taken from your chosen debit/credit card.
All match day tickets shall be made available via the Lord’s App, closer to the date of the match.
Wheelchair and accessible seating tickets are also available via the ballot.
Click below to enter the ballot site and follow the instructions below to apply:
Successful applicants will be notified in the week beginning 21 November.
If you are unsuccessful, you will still have the chance to buy tickets once the ballot process has concluded. Any return tickets from Member or Debenture areas, or tickets at higher category pricing than you initially indicated as your preference, will be offered to unsuccessful ballot applicants in a priority purchase window. You will be informed with further instructions by email at that time
At the conclusion of that priority window, all remaining tickets will be put on general sale. We estimate this to be around 5 December.
How many tickets can I apply for?
To maximize the success of as many different applicants as possible, we have set the following ticket limits:
|
Match |
Number of tickets |
|---|---|
|
England Men v Ireland Men Test |
6 |
|
England Men v Australia Men Test |
2 |
|
England Women v Australia Women IT20 |
6 |
|
England Men v New Zealand Men ODI |
2 |
For the two Test matches, you can apply for tickets across more than one day.
However, the England Men v Australia Men’s Test Match, you will only be successful for a maximum of one day. If you apply for Days 1, 2 and 3 of the Men’s Ashes Test match and you are successful in the ballot for Day 1, your application for Days 2 and 3 will be removed. This is to maximize the number of successful applicants and to ensure as many people as possible achieve a positive outcome from the ballot.
What categories of tickets and pricing are available in the public ballot?
We have simplified our ticket categories this year. Tickets are available in the following categories and pricing:
Please note:
-
Category E and F tickets offer restricted view seating. You can see how significant the restriction may be using the ‘view from‘ feature here.
-
Under-16 ticket prices are two-tiered for the Men’s and Women’s Ashes matches.
-
For England v Ireland, you can only apply for days 1,2 and 3.
Will I just be entered in the ballot for the specific stand and seating category I have selected as my preference?
We will run the ballot and allocate the initial available tickets we have available in the original ticket category and preferred area as indicated in your application.
To maximize the opportunity for success, we will also include your application for similar ticket types in other stands.
You may therefore be allocated an alternate stand at the same, or lower, ticket price.
We will not allocate you tickets at a higher price than the one you selected as your preferred.
What are the key dates for this years ballot?
10.00 is Monday 24 October – Ballot application window opens
12.00 (midday) is Monday 7 November – Ballot application window closes
Tuesday 8 – Friday 18 November – Ballot processing
Monday 21 – Friday 25 November – Ballot results, Notifications and payments taken
Further Notifications will be sent at the conclusion of the ballot process should additional tickets become available.
I have special access or disability requirements; how do I indicate this on my ballot application form?
Lord’s has a wide range of seating available for ambulant and disabled ticket holders.
Please complete your ballot application fully. On completion you will receive a confirmation email. Within that is a link to an online form with which you can share any specific accessibility needs. Should you be successful in the ballot, we will cross-reference the information provided and allocate seating suitable to your needs.
We are pleased to provide one free ticket to any guest that requires a companion or assistant to accompany them on match day, in addition to your ticket, which will be reduced in price to Category D.
One of the Club Services team may also contact you to discuss your requirements. DLA or PIP documentation may be requested.
For more details regarding Accessibility at Lord’s, please review this webpage: Accessibility | Lord’s (lords.org)
When will Day 5 Mens Ashes tickets go on sale?
Tickets for Day Five will be made available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis, via tickets.lords.org at a later date. Please keep an eye on email communications from the Club as to when this date will be.
Please note the England Men v Ireland Men’s Test match is scheduled for four days of play only.
There is a group of us applying for tickets, can we be allocated seats next to each other if we are all successful?
All applicants must complete the ballot application process first. (Please take into account the maximum number of tickets available per applicant when deciding upon how many of a group will apply in the ballot.)
You will receive a confirmation email which contains a link to a Group Application online form. Please follow this link and insert the details of your requested seating companions. You will need the client reference number for each applicant. For example, if five of you have applied for two tickets each to the men’s Ashes (10 tickets total) you will need the client reference number for the other four applicants. The client reference number can be found in the confirmation email.
If successful in the ballot, the Club Services team will make every effort to fulfill group requests wherever possible but cannot guarantee collective seating. Please note that making a group seating request in no way guarantees success in the ballot for all applicants.
How and when will I receive my tickets?
All Public Stand tickets for 2023 will be received via the Lord’s App, with QR codes (that are scanned at the entrance gates) uploaded to the App in the weeks preceding the match day. For a ‘how to’ guide please refer to this webpage: The Lord’s App
Ticketholders will require an Android or Apple Smartphone in order to download the App.
Further communication will follow this in early 2023 should you be successful in the ballot.
When will payment be taken if I am successful?
Debit / Credit card details will need to be entered at the point of completion of the ballot application. Payment from successful applicants will only be taken upon the allocation of seats, and not before 21 November. Payment will be taken for all tickets you have successfully applied for in the ballot at this time.
Can I enter the ballot pages more than once to complete my application over a number of days?
Yes, you can amend your application multiple times up until 12:00 on Monday 7 November. Before you submit your ballot request for the final time, we recommend that you review any match days where a green tick is displayed (see below), as this indicates that you have made a request for tickets to that match day.
The information indicated on your application as of 12.00 on Monday 7 November will be taken as final.
What are the rules around Under-16, unaccompanied children and infant tickets?
Under-16 ticket holders must be 16 years or younger on the day of the match.
Any child ticket holder 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
Any babes-in-arms may be carried into the ground free-of-charge, as long as they will not occupy a seat themselves. A ticket is required for any child three years of age or over on the day of the match.
