Ramiz Raja has insulted Zimbabwe by comparing the African Nation to a club-level Cricket team after Pakistan’s defeat in the ICC T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe thumped the Men in Green by 1 run in Perth.
Chasing 131 runs, Pakistan managed 129 in 20 overs. Slamming the current squad, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja said the Babar Azam-led team showed an ordinary performance against a team like Zimbabwe.
I am surprised that they played an ordinary Cricket in front of a club level Cricket team. I don’t know who I should burst with anger and up to how much level. Clearly, this is one of the Darkest Moments in our Cricket history, said Ramiz Raja.
Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis have also questioned Babar Azam for team selection in the two games against India and Zimbabwe. They felt Babar should have left his opening slot for Haider Ali or Fakhar Zaman.
