Richmond, Va. University of Richmond Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Anne Harrington announced the 2023 Spiders women’s lacrosse schedule on Wednesday.
The 17-game regular season begins with three games, two of which are on the road, as the Spiders meet first-time opponent Queens University of Charlotte on February 11th before traveling down I-64 to face longtime foe William & Mary on February 15th. Richmond’s home game takes place on February 18 when the Spiders host the Liberty at Robins Stadium.
Next week, the team will be on the road again, this time at Howard on February 26th, before returning for a home opener against Navy on March 5th. The Spiders have two more road games on the road on March 8 and 11 when they travel to Old Dominion and UMass, respectively.
The following week begins Richmond’s longest home stretch of the season with Virginia on March 15th, VCU on March 18th and George Mason on March 22nd. The Spiders will then trade their three straight home games for three consecutive road games as they travel to the 2022 Atlantic 10. champion Saint Joseph’s on March 25 before traveling to St. Bonaventure on April 1 and James Madison on April 5.
The Spiders return home against La Salle on the 8th. April, after which they will play against George Washington on the 15th. April and Davidson’s April 22. The regular season ends at Robins Stadium when the team faces Duquesne on April 29.
From there, the team will make the short trip to the Atlantic 10 tournament hosted by VCU on the 4th-7th. May.
