Scotland sealed the deal until 2022 with a dominant eight-wicket win over Nepal in Namibia to stay top of the Cricket World Cup league.

The Scots recovered loss to Namibia making it three wins from four in their December match in Windhoek.

They used just 17 of the 50 overs allotted to them to outmaneuver Nepal’s 119.

George Munsey hit two sixes and seven fours on his way to 45 off 28 balls, and Christopher McBride finished unbeaten on 46.

Scotland’s attack got six runs, two to Brandon McMullen, Safyaan Sharif and Mark Watt, after Nepal were sent in to bat first.

Only captain Rohit Paudel’s fighting 47 halted the innings collapse in even more dramatic fashion.

Scotland quickly ate into Nepal’s total with Kyle Coetzer and Munsey hitting 43 in the first four overs before the former fell lbw to Gulsan Jha.

Captain Richie Berrington retired after joining McBride’s attack.

Scotland are now two points ahead of Oman after playing four games in hand, while Namibia are third, nine points behind the Saltiers but with two games in hand.
