SPORT. The table tennis department of Cheminots sportif bragards (CSB) was awarded the best coach award at the Sports Trophies event for Pascal Vielhomme, who increased the numbers in an incredible way.

The most important thing is to be interested in others and not count your hours. Humble, Pascal Vielhomme did not want to make long speeches on Friday, December 16 at Les Fuseaux at the sports awards ceremony of the City and City Sports Office. But the CSB (Cheminots sportif bragards) Table Tennis coach took the moment to remind us of the values ​​he imparts to his table tennis players.

But he didn’t come on stage by chance. In the category “instructors”, he received the award for the best coach. And the statistic given by sports assistant Mokhtar Kahlal alone summed up his work: In one year CSB Table Tennis went from five to 116 licensees! The applause was not too great for such an achievement. But how is this possible?

There is no magic recipe, listen to the interested party who worked at CSB for 18 years before working for 22 years at the Eurville-Bienville table tennis club and then returning to Saint-Dizier for two and a half years. There were four of them, then five with me. And there were new ones, and only four young people came from Eurville-Bienville. In 2022, we got 116.

Pascal Vielhomme had toured in Eurville. We went national. I like raising young people. In Eurville-Bienville, everything had to be done, the training at the beginning didn’t necessarily help me, I wanted to stop completely, he believes. But I was also the chairman of the department’s technical committee, and the director of the department told me that CSB wanted to stop. I’m basically a railroad worker, so I said to myself, “I’m going to lend a hand”…

Pascal Vielhomme has 46 licensees in 2021-2021 and 116 licensees in 2021-2022. Its goal is to end the year 2022-2023 with 150 license holders. Not a week goes by without a phone call to the new license holder, the coach also enjoys the great atmosphere with people of all ages and different fields. We are lucky to have two halls with the school children, Saint-Dizier and Chamouilley: this way they can test to get new members, as all big cities do to recruit.

As for the award, Pascal Vielhomme accepted it with joy, but above all he talks about children and little girls. Afterwards it’s good, we’re going to talk about the club, my goal is for the club to move forward. My business is snowshoeing and taking care of young people, making them champions and above all men and women. You have to give without expecting anything in return, which is quite easy in a sport like ours. Caring for others is really the key word.

We can’t afford to stop for two weeks

Sports awards were not an occasion to complain. But Pascal Vielhomme doesn’t forget to share with the city, his new complaints about the hall of the Vergy association center. Two black points: The consumption space and the absence of a women’s dressing room. We have to go a little further here, I know it’s easy for anyone, I have to see Mokhtar with Kahlal. Another big concern, the city closing the room during the holidays. It is a form of automation. We can’t afford to stop for two weeks to aim for the top level. There are two months on vacation dt… This behavior is strange to me. It is necessary to succeed in explaining to the city that a high standard cannot be won that way. All associations say so. Pascal Vielhomme will continue to send emails and letters that have not yet been answered to the sports department. I’m not desperate!
