Goldberg narrates the Georgia football College Football Playoff hype trailer

ATLANTA — It’s the eve of the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, and the Dawgs released their 12th game trailer of the season. As the No. 1 Bulldogs prepare to take on No. 4 Ohio State at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia Football’s official Twitter account released a 73-second feature called “Sixty Minutes,” narrated by former Dawgs defensive lineman and professional wrestler Bill Goldberg. “Every champion started out as a competitor who refused to give up,” says Goldberg. “When the bell rings, that bell starts. Sixty minutes it’s going to be a Dawg fight. Oh, you hear that, they lock the gate. Just you and me give it our all until they knock. It’s a 60-minute drive to a 60-minute fight. There’s no a second chance. Everything we’ve worked for has led to this moment. Fighting in front of the biggest fans in the country.

“So let’s start that clock. Lock those gates. And do what we came here to do.”

The Bulldogs are now 79-15 under seventh-year head coach Kirby Smart, with a conference play record of 48-9. Georgia beats LSU 50-30 in neutral site and Ohio State is 45-23 at home to Michigan. The two teams will take the field on December 31st in the second game of all time Meeting between Georgia and Ohio State, the first being the 1993 Citrus Bowl. The game, which begins at 8 p.m. ET, is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN.

“It’s not about the Big Ten and the SEC,” Kirby Smart said. “That’s what football is about, right? It boils down to the line of scrimmage. It boils down to turnovers, explosive plays. It’s not really about the two conferences in those games. You might have to work through that, but really it’s about who’s playing better. Because I also coached at Alabama when Ohio State absolutely destroyed us one game into the CFP semifinals and you know what? They played better. They were more explosive and didn’t have turnovers like we did at Alabama. So it really comes down to how you play, not who you play.”
