Pa. the tennis instructor is accused of sexually abusing a student

UPPER MAKEFIELD, Pa. (CBS) – A tennis instructor in Bucks County is accused of sexually abusing a student. 24-year-old Hector Andres Jacome Jaramillo faces multiple charges, including assault on a child under the age of 16.

According to Upper Makefield police, the assaults occurred while they were traveling together to tennis tournaments.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the alleged assaults occurred at private homes and hotels in Solebury Township, Upper Makefield Township, Fla., and out of state where he and the victim traveled to tennis tournaments.

According to the police, the allegations came to light when the victim told her mother, who contacted the police. The victim’s mother was too distraught to speak on camera, but told CBS Philadelphia she fears there may be more victims.

According to the police, Jacome Jaramillo worked as a private tennis instructor and traveled to different facilities and camps.

According to the affidavit, the abuse began in 2020 and continued until this week, when the victim reported to the police.

After the 24-year-old suspect was released from jail, CBS Philadelphia went to his address in Lawrenceville to get his side of the story.

His father told CBS Philadelphia that his son does not want to talk.

“He’s innocent,” his father said.

Police say it’s scary to come forward, but they’re ready to help any victims.
