In the future, the table tennis community expects a full calendar year – TBEN

With the finals of the 2023 ITTF World Championships less than six months away, the table tennis community is excited as the prestigious event will be held in Durban for the first time since 1939 in the African country.

The World Championships are just one part of a number of attractive table tennis events in 2023. Late last year, World Table Tennis announced the first half of the WTT Series and WTT Feeder Series 2023 calendar of events, revealing that the world’s best table tennis players will have the opportunity to compete in more than 15 events on three continents. World Table Tennis plans to make it a truly global series, with events planned in America, Europe and Asia in the second half of this year.

The WTT Youth Series is another integral part of the WTT event pyramid, which will continue to offer young table tennis players a path to prove their worth on the big stage. Announced in October 2022, the 2023 WTT Youth Series calendar features a record number of events across the globe, ensuring all rising stars have a chance to shine. This year will also be an important year for the para table tennis community. Building on the success of last year’s unanimously acclaimed World Championships in Andalucia, the Para Table Tennis Series enjoys a record-breaking calendar for 2023, with no less than 33 events across all continental federations.
