How many more national championship game weeks like this are to come?

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The number of hours will now be reduced until the Dawgs play for another national title.

The DawgNation team has now made it to Los Angeles this weekend for the TCU game on Monday. It seems like a good time to take a pulse on a few national championship-centric topics heading into the big twist at SoFi Stadium.

It’s with the familiar Cover 4 concept from the entire DawgNation team.

Here’s the first one. It’s about whether or not DawgNation makes trips like this a regular one.

Those shots are scheduled to come out as quickly as reporters found Darnell Washington asking him about his ankle Saturday during the College Football Playoff media day session.

This Cover 4 topic is:

Brandon Adams: Yeah. Likely.

Why: I say all the time that college football is easy to predict but hard to predict. It means that it is often easy to see what should happen, but never so easy to say what will happen. That’s why UGA fans should enjoy what’s happening right now. It is easy to imagine that the run is just beginning, but the future is not guaranteed.

Mike Griffith: Yeah.

Why: Why not? Look at Georgia’s schedule next season and there’s no reason to believe the Bulldogs can’t run the table again. Consider that UGA just came off back-to-back CFP title games with a former QB who didn’t have another P5 offer. What can a four or five star talent do in a Todd Monken offense? Kirby Smart has proven that he can draw talent from the portal, and unless otherwise noted, Georgia is the king of CFB.

Why: I have a non-sober thought for many here. If recruiting and players matter, this seems pretty straightforward. Look back in about three years and realize that this is a runway. Not the top. The 2021 and 2022 teams will be building blocks. The 2024 team projects to be much better than those last two rosters. Now is a golden moment for the Dawg. But this program just keeps getting better. It gets better every year. The playoffs also make it easier to get over a loss in the SEC championship game.
