As we wrap up our newsletter on the 2022 Oregon Ducks football season, it’s time to start looking ahead and imagining what the future may hold. The outlook is definitely bright for the Ducks, with plenty of top talent returning to Eugene for the 2023 season, led by quarterback Bo Nix.
While a couple of notable players will return for another year, a lot of guys will either declare for the 2023 NFL Draft or end their college careers.
Several players have NFL draft decisions either as underclassmen or with a year of college eligibility remaining.
Players expected to go in the first couple of rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft are likely gone, but there are others who are in the mid-to-late round and need to take a hard look in the mirror and decide what to do. want to do for their future.
To keep everything straight and easy to follow, we’ve created an NFL Draft tracker for Oregon players who are considering moving on to the next level or who have already made the decision. The deadline for players to enter the draft is January 16th, so expect plenty of news over the next week.

Update: Dorlus announced Sunday that he will return to Eugene for the 2023 season.
Brandon Dorlus is probably the most anticipated NFL announcement for the Ducks. Dorlus played in the Oregon bowl, but could still declare for the draft. At this point, it feels like it could go either way.

Sewell announced in December that he will declare for the NFL Draft, ending his Oregon career after three stellar seasons with the Ducks. He projects to be an early Day 2 pick at the next level.

Where things stand
McCormick returns for yet another season with the Ducks, which could finally be his last. After a long, injury-riddled career, it’s strange at this point that McCormick is no longer with the team.

Where things stand
Bo Nix originally planned to be a Duck for just one season in 2022 before jumping to the NFL. A late-season knee injury derailed, however, and Nix decided to return for the 2023 season, when he projected himself as an early favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.
