The Columbus Blue Jackets have named their goalie Jet Greaves For the Cleveland Monsters, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, CEO and vice governor Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Greaves was added to the roster in an emergency call-up on Tuesday.
Greaves, 21, has posted an 18-18-4 record with a 3.18 GAA, .898 SV% and one shutout in 44 career AHL games with the Monsters since making his pro debut in 2021-22. The 6-0, 184-pound native of Cambridge, Ontario is 6-6-2 with a 3.69 GAA and .885 SV% in 15 games with the team in 2022-23. The Blue Jackets signed him to a three-year entry-level contract on February 20, 2022.
The Blue Jackets return to action on Thursday when they host the Carolina Hurricanes. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7pm ET.
