Nine Virginia Tech opponents competed in the 2022 Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship last season, including both finalists North Carolina and Boston College.
Tech’s second season with Skiera begins Saturday, Feb. 11 against VCU in Richmond, Va. On Wednesday, February 15, the Hokies open their home opener against JMU at 5 p.m. Last season, Virginia Tech earned its first win in program history. against the duke.
After a home game against Mercer on Sunday, February 19, Tech will open ACC play against defending national champion North Carolina on Friday, February 24 at 7 p.m. in Blacksburg.
The Hokies face four other non-conference opponents: Elon (3/8), Akron (3/18), Mount St. Mary’s (3/22) and ODU (4/11). Tech hosts Furman at home on April 17.
In ACC action, Virginia Tech hosts Pitt (3/11), Boston College (3/25), Louisville (4/8) and Clemson (4/15). Tech faces Syracuse (3/5), Notre Dame (3/16), Duke (4/1) and Virginia (4/20).
Tech went 9-9 in the 2022 season, which included notable wins against No. 13 James Madison and No. 15 Notre Dame. The Hokies finished the season at home with a 5-4 record and fell to No. 2 Boston College in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship.
