Okay, so the friendly fire is on. And while University of Michigan President Santa Ono is new, coming on board last fall, he’s well aware of what happened in 2014 when the Wolverines lured Jim Harbaugh from the NFL back to the college ranks.
On Monday night, Ono announced that Jim Harbaugh told him he’s returning to coach the Maize and Blue and won’t be leaving for the NFL, and the news was tweeted by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. But Ono remembers what happened when Harbaugh was on a plane to Ann Arbor in December 2014, even though Schefter himself is a Michigan alumnus.

If you don’t remember, when Harbaugh traveled to Ann Arbor to announce him as the new head football coach at Michigan, Schefter tweeted that the Oakland Raiders were still in the running and that Harbaugh was not signed to Michigan.
Ono proves that he can even catch Michigan memes, and is sure to be making more and more love to the Maize and Blue faithful.
