Men’s tennis lost at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Host Yale grabbed a doubles point and then won all six singles matches to defeat Binghamton men’s tennis 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center.

Freshman #2 William Morais Binnielooked strong in his match, pushing his opponent to a third-set super tiebreak before falling 10-7. Freshman #6 Ronin Lotlikaralso sent his match to the third set, but came up short, 11-9, in a super tiebreak.

Fellow freshman James McPherson continued his first set at No. 4 singles to the tiebreak with quality play. In the past, McPherson worked with parents Michael Pawlowiczand the pair played a tight match with the Bulldogs’ pair of doubles tandems, losing in a tiebreak 7-5.

Binghamton plays three games next weekend at West Point, against Brown and Richmond on Saturday and hosting Army on Sunday.
