Roller Hockey Black won four games in MCRHL Action

Roller Hockey The Black Squad won all four games played Saturday in Midwest Collegiate Roller Hockey League (MCRHL) action at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin, Missouri.

The Lions started the day with a 12-0 win over Illinois State D3. Matthew Sherman had two goals and two assists for No. 1 Star honors, Jackson Wozniak scored twice and added an assist for No. 2 Star honors. Jeremiah Keao was named star 3 with two goals. Nick Meyer, Tristan Zeik, Charles Veraand Michael Sapienza each scored one goal and Trevor West had two assists as Lindenwood beat the Redbirds 29-7. Adam Whicker earned the shutout win in goal with seven saves.

Roller Black defeated Missouri S & T D3 in the finals 8-2 in the next game. Wozniak earned No. 1 Star honors with a goal and four assists, Keao was named No. 2 Star with a hat trick and Sapienza earned No. 3 Star recognition with a goal and an assist. Vera, Ethan Erlewein and West scored the other goals. Matt Tilley made two assists and Hannah Spain had one to help the Lions as they beat the Miners 30-17. Whicker made 15 saves on 17 shots.

Lindenwood controlled Kansas State D3 with an 8-0 shutout Saturday night. Wozniak earned No. 1 star honors with a goal and an assist, Tilley was named a No. 2 star with a goal and an assist, and Keao earned No. 3 star recognition with a goal and an assist as the Lions ran a balanced attack with eight different combinations. scorers including Sherman, Meyer, Vera, Lucas LeClairand Darius DeCarolis. Lindenwood outshot the Wildcats 45-12 and Whicker stopped all 12 shots he faced.

In the last game of the day, the Lions beat the Maryville D3 team 8-3. Meyer was named the No. 1 star with a hat trick and two assists, and Wozniak earned No. 2 star honors with a hat trick and one assist. LeClair scored the other two goals for Lindenwood. The Lions outshot the Saints 48-32 and Whicker stopped 29 of 32 shots in his most prolific scoring game of the weekend.
