Cowboy Tennis Drops match 21 against Colombia

CHAPEL HILL, NC The Oklahoma State men’s tennis team fell to No. 21 Columbia, 4-0, on Sunday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill.

With the loss, OSU fell to 5-2 on the season.

Starting with doubles, Francisco Pini and Alex Garcia closed out the field three, defeating Nicolas Kotzen and Sachin Palta 6-2.

The Pokes dropped pitches one and two, giving Columbia a double.

In single player Leighton Allen fell to Henry Ruger 6-0, 6-0 on the sixth court. The first field was the next to finish, and 11th Michael Zheng won Tyler Zink6-2, 6-2, extending the Lions’ lead to 3-0.

But. 33 Roko Horvat fell Francisco Pini6-2, 5-3, as the deciding point of the match.

The Cowboys return to action at 1 p.m. (CST) on February 12 at the Greenwood Tennis Center against Washington.
