The 38-year-old is adamant he wants to “keep playing at Chelsea” and says the club “need” him as they “build” their squad after a poor run of results this season.

James and Chilwell are also close to returning to full fitness, while Trevoh Chalobah is starting to do well on the right side of the back three.
However, Graham Potter is said to have been impressed by Silva’s attitude, and the Brazilian is seen as the perfect role model for the next generation.
In addition, Silva is said to be enjoying life in London after arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020. That is why he wants to extend his stay.
The Brazilian is also adamant that he wants to continue playing football at the highest level until he is 40 years old.
