Taylor Otremba Earns WCHA Rookie of the Month – Minnesota State University

Mankato, Minn. —Minnesota State freshman forwardTaylor Otrembawas namedWCHA Rookie of the Monthafter registration in January 2-7–9.

The Otremba shot opened the month against Lindenwood (1/6), posting a 2-3–5 streak to lead the Mavericks to a decisive 8-0 win on their January opener. Last weekend, he recorded a pair of assists in the series against MSU. at Ohio State.

Maverick, a native of Lakeville, earned firstWCHA Player of the Monthhonors this season.

Otremba has won three WCHA Rookie of the Week awards: October 31, November 21 and January 9.

The Mavericks (13-15-0, 7-15-0 WCHA) host Duluth on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Mayo Clinic Events Center.
