Men’s tennis defeated the Navy strongly 7-0

PHILADELPHIA The University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team swept the Naval Academy 7-0 Friday afternoon at the Hecht Tennis Center.

Penn’s men took all three doubles matches convincingly, including a 6-0 victory over the No. 2 freshman team. Manfredi Graziani and Kian’s representative. Team No. 1 Edward Graziani and Zachary Lim and team No. 3 Aditya Gupta and Karu Parikh both won 6-3.

In singles, the younger Graziani doubled his opponent at No. 4 and finished the day without dropping a single game. Gupta and Parikh won straight sets at No. 2 and No. 3, dropping just three games between them to officially end the Quakers match.
Vakili and Lim, both playing singles for the first time this spring, won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5, 6-6.

In the final match of the day, the senior Graziani dropped the opening set, but as he did against VCU’s No. 40 Matisse Bobichon last Sunday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) No. 48 player stormed back with six. -4 second set win, then the winner came in a close third set tiebreaker for Penn.
