Men’s tennis’ three-match winning streak was snapped with a 7-0 loss at Belmont on Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Mocs men’s tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss against in-state foe Belmont on Sunday night at the Ensworth Tennis Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

With the loss, Chattanooga sees its three-game winning streak snapped as the team moves to 3-2 on the spring campaign. Belmont improved to a perfect 4-0 following the shutout win.

“Give credit to Belmont. They’re a very strong team and they certainly enjoyed themselves on their home field,” the coach said. Chuck Merzbacher.

“Definitely a long weekend on the road. We’re happy to play the next two games at home next weekend.”

Chattanooga (3-2) returns to action on Friday, Feb. 10 when it hosts UNC Asheville in Chattanooga at 5 p.m. ET. Match location and coverage links are available before the first display on the schedule page.
