NEW ORLEANS, La.- After an incredible start to the indoor track season, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men’s Track and Field Team has broken into the latest USTFCCCA Top 25 poll, with a No. 23 ranking announced on Tuesday.
After starting the season ranked No. 36, the Bears have been on the rise, especially thanks to the success of the men’s 4x400m team, which continues to put up incredible times every weekend. At the South Carolina Inviational, the team ran 3:11.19, the best time of any Division II school this season.
The only South Atlantic Conference school ranked in the top 25 is Wingate, which is ranked No. 20.
This ranking comes days before the men’s and women’s teams travel to Virginia Beach, Va. for the NCAA DII Pre-Nationals, which begin Friday and run through Saturday.
