Cardinal Stings Hornets – Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, California Well. 17 Stanford men’s tennis defeated Sacramento State 4-0 on Saturday at the Taube Tennis Center. The Cardinal are now 6-2 on the season, including 5-0 at home.

Stanford made quick work of Sacramento State in doubles, taking the point with a 6-2 win on the first court and a 6-1 win on the third.

In singles, freshman Nisesh Basavareddy, ranked No. 2 in the country, made quick work of court three with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Adam Chodur.

Five on the field, senior Filip Kolasinski beat Jiri Novak 6-3, 6-4 and Neel Rajesh won 6-2, 7-5 on court six of Rudolfs Aksenoks.

The Cardinal will return to action next weekend at the ITA National Team Indoors in Chicago, Ill.
