Case Western Reserve University women’s basketball picked up its first-ever road win against Washington University (Mo.), upsetting 22.n.d-ranked the Bears 61-57 on Friday night in St. Louis.
The win completes the Spartans’ first-ever sweep of the Bears in a season. The Spartans improved to 15-8 overall and 6-6 in the University Athletic Association. It was CWRU’s second win over a top 25 team in its last three games after 24 wins.th-ranked Rochester last Friday night. WashU fell to 16-7 overall and 9-3 in the conference.
After scoring a career-high 36 points on a school-record 10 3-pointers in Game 1 against WashU in January, the senior guard/forward Isabella Mills excelled again Friday with 27 points and a career-high 16 rebounds.
