Marr Sisters Pace Beam Effort Gymnastics score 195.125 at Temple Quad

PHILADELPHIA The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team posted the best balance beam performance in program history and recorded the program’s fifth-highest team score all-time with a 195.125 in the quad meet at Temple Sunday night in McGonigle Hall.

The Quakers finished fourth behind the host Owls, George Washington and NC State in the final meeting before the Ivy Classic next weekend.

Led by the Marr sisters, Campbell and McCaleighPenn scored 49.475s on beam to lead 9.950s in their back-to-back routines, setting an individual program record for each other.

FLOOR | Penn 48.550
Alyssa Rosen made her floor exercise debut and definitely made the most of it with a 9.825. Carly Oniki 9,775 was recorded, while Marissa Lassiter was 9,750. These three followed Sara Kenefick (9,650), Emma Davis (9.550) and Olivia VanHorn (8,950).

VAULT | Penn 48,875
Three scores of 9.800 and above highlighted Penn’s effort on vault, which he led Campbell Marr (9,900), Rose DeBarberie (9,800) and Kiersten Belkoff (9,800). Alisha Werlen scored 9.750, Davies 9.625 and VanHorn 9.250.

BARS | Penn 48,225
Penn scored three more points, 9.800 or higher, on uneven bars McCaleigh Marr’s 9,850. Kirsten Kuhn and Kenefick both scored 9.800. Davies finished with a score of 9.675, Lassiter 9.100 and Oniki 8.950.

BEAM | Penn 49,475
The best result in program history? No problem with that. All five points calculated into the turning point were 9,800 and over as Campbell Marr notch program record binding 9.950 and McCaleigh Marr followed him directly with a similar result. Rosen finished with a score of 9.875, while Kuhn and Belkoff tied for 9.850. Werlen finished the round with a score of 9.725.

*Penni’s 195.125 is the fifth-best score in program history and the second-highest mark of the 2023 season so far.
*The Quakers’ 49.475 on beam broke the program record of 49.250 set by Penn at last season’s GEC Championships on March 19, 2022.
*Campbell Marr’s The 9.900 on the vault ties the shared program record Ariana Agarwala from 13.3.2022 and Dana Bonincontri from 24.3.2012.
*Marr finished first overall in the vault with 9.900.
*McCaleigh Marr finished in a three-set tie for fourth on uneven bars with a 9.850.
*Campbell et McCaleigh Marr shared the beam title with a 9.950.
* They both share the program mark with Becky Nadler on March 18, 2000. McCaleigh now has three of the top five balance beam marks in program history.
*Alyssa Rosen finished in a four-set tie for ninth in the floor exercise (9.825).

Penn heads to Providence, RI for the annual Ivy Classic meeting with host Brown, Cornell and Yale next Sunday, February 26th. The Quakers are looking for their first Ivy title since 2020 and 14th all-time.
