federal way, washing. Arizona Women’s Swimming heads to Federal Way, Wash., along with men’s and women’s diving, for the 2023 Pac-12 Championships. Both competitions begin on Wed., Feb. 22 and run through Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. Pac-12 Networks, Pac-12.com and Pac will cover the championships on a daily basis. -12 Now the application.
The Wildcats have posted impressive times and results in both swimming and diving this season and have five weekly Pac-12 honors. Junior Julia Heimstead received the Women’s Swimmer of the Week award in January, Björn Market took home the Male Diver of the Week award earlier this month, and Delaney Fastsecured women’s diver of the week three times this season. Throughout the competition, the Cats are not only in the hunt for finalist spots, but NCAA A and B qualifiers are being cut and points at nationals are approaching.
Defending Pac-12 champion Delaney Fastlooks to once again come out on top in the 1m and platform jumps, which would mark his third year in a row as a title winner.Diver Björn Marketwas a tight runner-up in last year’s championship, placing second in 3 meters and third on platform. On the swimming side, the Arizona women finished fifth as a team last season with several individual Wildcat finalists. Among them is Heimstead, who posted three NCAA B cut times and three top ten finishes.
Diving
The men’s and women’s Pac-12 Diving Championships begin on Wed., Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. MT with the men’s 1-meter preliminaries, followed by the finals at 12:00 p.m. The next day, the women start the 1st meter preliminaries at 1:50 p.m. and the finals at 4:20 p.m.
