Alabama, Georgia leads college football’s 12 deadliest players list for 2023

There’s a reason college football is still around fun to coach Alabama Nick Saban. The Crimson Tide’s recruiting monster continues to gobble up everything in its path after signing another top class for the 2023 cycle. Heading into the spring, Alabama has one of the deadliest rosters in college football, loaded with talent and plenty of the elite recruits needed to win a national championship.

Steve Lassan of Athlon Sports recently ranked among the best lists in college football using 247Sports’ composite team rankingstaking into account the average of each program’s last five signing classes. This is more or less a revised version of the 247Sports Team Talent Composite, which looks at a program’s entire roster based on individual player recruiting grades. An updated Team Talent Composite will be released later this spring as the rosters are finalized heading into the summer.

Over the past 10 seasons, every national champion has signed at least one of the top five 247Sports rankings in the three years leading up to their title.
