Well. 46 Mens Tennis Drops Road Match to No. 64 South Florida

LYNCHBURG, Va. The Penn State men’s tennis team (10-3) dropped a tough 6-1 road match to No. 64 South Florida (5-9) at the Liberty Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.

DOUBLE

South Florida secured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two.

No. 2, Sam Boss and Loren Byers fell by a 6-1 decision to Erik Grevelius and Alvin Tudoricain earlier Malik Bhatnagar and Charles Morgan beat the Bulls’ Davide Tortora and Bruno Oliveira 6-2.

Miko Eala and Stefan Simeunovic won 3-4, unfinished Thomas Pavlekovich-Smith and Tom Pisane on court three.

Singles

Bossem earned the tying goal for Penn State on court four, 6-4, 6-0 with a 1-1 decision over Elijah Cham. South Florida earned two verdicts back from a 3-1 dual lead as Eala fell to Alvin Tudorica 6-4, 6-1 and Simeunovic lost 6-4, 6-1 to Tom Pisane.

The Bulls rallied as Bhatnagar dropped a 6-4, 7-6(4) match to Tom Pavlekovich at No. 4. South Florida rallied on courts one and two to wrap up the match 6-1.
