APSU Men’s Tennis falls 5-0 to North Florida – Clarksville Online

Jacksonville, FL – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s tennis team fell to ASUN conference foe North Florida 5-0 on Sunday at the UNF Tennis Complex.

North Florida claimed the doubles point after 6-1 victories over the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds.

After being down 6-0 in the first set, the freshman Bodie van Galen dropped the second set 7-6 after falling 7-3 in the semifinals at first singles to reach the final.

Second year student Tom Bolton and Thiago Nogueira The matches were the next to go to the finals as both fell 6-4 to the pair of No. 3 and No. 6. UNF took victory after victory 6-4, 6-2 Sota Minami from higher places.

The Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team returns home to begin a four-match homestand Friday against Lipscomb at the Governors Tennis Courts at 2:00 p.m.

After their matchup against the Bisons, the Govs host Eastern Kentucky on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
