Women’s tennis hosts DePauw on Tuesday night

Eastern Illinois women’s tennis leaves the conference on Tuesday for a Wednesday match against DePauw. The match will be played at Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse starting at 7 p.m.

EIU then returns to action this weekend by continuing Ohio Valley Conference play by hosting Lindenwood on Saturday. EIU opened OVC play with a 7-0 win over Southern Indiana on Saturday at the Danville Tennis Center.

EIU has won two in a row and five of its last six games to improve to 9-8 on the season.

Madeline Monroe has been solid and extended his current singles winning streak to eight straight matches as he is now 10-7 on the season, including a 6-0 mark playing at No. 5 singles.

Lauren Ellis also joined the 10-win club this weekend with a win at No. 6 singles. He is also 10-7.

Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova is the Panthers’ leader in singles wins with an 11-6 record, all of which came at No. 2 singles in the order.

DePauw comes into the game 4-9 on the season.
