Assistant head coach Brad Robinson deals with the transition from indoor to outdoor use
“Going into the outdoor phase, it’s nice that the track athletes have a wider oval, but everyone has to get used to Mother Nature again and the elements she’s going to throw at us this season. As we transition, our athletes are excited across the board and we’re just trying to build on the foundation we had during the indoor season .”
Robinson looks ahead and discusses what he expects from the team in this year’s general outdoor competition
“Last year was a little bit unique in that we had a number of athletes who only had indoor eligibility versus outdoor eligibility. This year we seem to be a little more consistent with the indoor athletes transitioning to the outdoor season, and hopefully that adds to the depth of last year’s indoor season, where the women’s team finished second and the men’s team third place at the GLVCC Championships.”
