NDSU women’s golf finished sixth at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate

PAWLEY’S ISLAND, SC Madi Hicks recorded its first top-five finish as the North Dakota State women’s golf team finished sixth at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club on Wednesday afternoon.

Hicks carded a one-round 72 for a career-low 69 and a 74 for a three-round career-low 215 to finish tied for fifth, pacing the Bison. He was even on 15-of-18 holes and posted three bogeys to go +3 on the par 71 course in the final round.

Catherine Monty (76-76-72–224) posted his third top-25 finish of the season and tied for 24th after posting a career-low three-round total of 224. He was even on 11 holes and had three birdies. in the last round +1.

Elise Hoven (81-73-74–228) finished tied for 32nd place Leah Scar (73-79-78–230) were tied for 39th place. Jo Baranczyk (81-76-78–235) finished the group in 57th place.

As a team, NDSU compiled rounds of 302, 294 and 298 for a three-round total of 894 to finish sixth in the 17-team tournament. James Madison (285-286-294–865) won the tournament by 17 strokes ahead of second-place UNC Greensboro (292-297-293–882).

The average score during the three game rounds was 76.83.

NDSU returns to action at the Stampede at the Creek on 10-11. April in Omaha, Neb. at Indian Creek Golf Course.
