Our CCA
RMPS Table Tennis CCA hopes to instill in our students an appreciation and passion for table tennis and develop their skills in the sport.
Table tennis is a sport based on quick reflexes, agility and strength. Our members go through a training program to help them develop these key areas and strengthen their game techniques. During CCA, we also strive to build character based on sound moral values like sportsmanship and inculcate discipline and sense of responsibility in our students.
Every year our members participate in the South Zone Inter Primary Schools Championships, the National Individual Table Tennis Championships and the Crocodile Challenge Cup organized by the Singapore Table Tennis Association. These valuable experiences allow our members to gain a better understanding of the sport and develop their resilience and mental toughness when facing the challenges and pressures of these competitions.
To prepare for the competitions, the selected members are invited to participate in school team training in addition to the regular CCA training. Members who have consistently demonstrated outstanding skills and discipline are also appointed as CCA Directors.
