The pitcher’s duel is against the Huskies

TEMPE, Ariz. – Well. 8 Washington (26-7, 7-4 Pac-12) dropped Game 2 of the series 3-1 at Arizona State on Saturday night.

Arizona State brought in the first run of the contest when Yanni Acuna led off with a double and an error in the next at bat.

Madison Huskey and Sami Reynolds led off the fourth with consecutive hits and Kelley Lynch after that, walk to load the platforms. SilentRain Espinoza brought the tying with a sacrifice fly.

Arizona State brought on the green goals in the seventh to take a 3-1 advantage.

Lynch started the circle for the Huskies, throwing five innings with seven strikeouts and allowing just one hit. He retired 15 in 18 strikeouts.

The Huskies and Sun Devils will wrap up the weekend series on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for noon and will air on the ASU Live Stream.
