Womens Tennis heads to North Greenville for Tuesday’s match

CULLOWHEE, NC Western Carolina women’s tennis heads out of the Southern Conference on Tuesday when the Catamounts head to Tigerville, SC to take on North Greenville at 3 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two teams in a late addition to the 2022-23 WCU schedule.

Fresh off a 4-3 home win against State Southern Conference foe UNCG on March 24, the Catamounts enter Monday’s game with a 12-6 overall record, which includes an 11-4 mark in non-conference games. Jade Green and Angela Perez are both tied for second place with 11 singles wins. Groen and Andrea Redondo have combined for a team-best 11 doubles wins.

North Greenville is 3-10 overall and 1-3 in Conference Carolinas games after Friday’s 6-1 romp at Belmont Abbey.

The Catamounts stay on the road at Upstate South Carolina on Friday, taking on league foe Wofford in the first inning at 1 p.m.
