Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has won the toss and opted to bowl against Punjab Kings at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders in their first game despite losing key players Liam Livingstone and Kagiso Rabada. Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar and Sikandar Raza put up an excellent bowling display while Bhanuka Rajapaksa’s quick half-century at number three helped Punjab Kings reach 191 runs.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals’ top order seems to be in excellent shape. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal started strongly in their previous game and Sanju Samson also scored a half-century to take the team to a massive 203 runs. Spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal was in good form and took four wickets, while Trent Boult took two wickets and KM Asif kept the score in check. A high number of goals is expected from the match, and both teams have a strong batting line-up. The likes of Dhawan, Rajapaksa and Chris Gayle will make things difficult for Rajasthan Royals, but if Buttler, Jaiswal and Samson continue their current form, the home side will be a force to be reckoned with.
