Box Points 1 | Box score 2 MAHWAH, NJ / WAYNE, NJ The TCNJ women’s tennis team enjoyed a near-perfect day, lopsided over both NJAC opponents William Paterson and Ramapo on Tuesday.
The Lions (12-4, 5-0 NJAC) started the pair of games with a perfect pitch against the Pioneers (2-7, 0-5 NJAC), going 9-0 without dropping a game. It was the second time this season that the team reached the shutout mark.
Double saw Charlotte Roarty/Jenny Landells (No. 1), Alexa Vasile/Chase Eisenberg (No. 2) and Aira Abalos/Anusha Rangu (No. 3) all dominate, 8-0.
In singles, each of the six women achieved double wins against their opponents.
The team’s second match against Ramapo saw another completely lopsided win, with the only difference being lone losses at both singles and singles.
With his two double sweeps, Rangu finds himself on the cusp of the 50 win milestone as he finished the day with 48 double wins.
The Lions close out regular season NJAC play tomorrow by hosting Stockton at the Tennis Complex. The match starts at 15:30
